About the event
Team Arm Wrestling Federation is coming to Toronto in March 23rd, 2024.
Two teams of Ontario’s best form the East and West will compete for a $5000.00 cash prize.
The team captains Blake Bouillon for the east, and Tyler Bolzan for the west, are still filling their rosters. If you are interested in possibly joining a team please contact Table Monkeys DM.
Below is a brief description of how the Team Arm Wrestling Federation works:
The Team Arm Wrestling Federation game has 4 men's and 1 women's class. Each class competes with both arms. Men's classes: 175lbs (lightweight), 205lbs (middleweight), 245lbs (heavyweight), 246lbs+ (super heavyweight), and Women's class: 170lbs (middleweight).
Each team has a captain and at least one puller in each class, with a max of 11 pullers.
The game has 8 rounds, each with 8 matches. Teams pick pullers in 2 minutes for each round. Matches start every 30 seconds, with 8 matches per round. After round 1, teams immediately select pullers for the next 8 matches.
Competitors have 30 seconds to get a grip. If the match hasn't started in those 30 seconds it will go to a WAL set grip. Fouls affect the number of points scored. Points are scored by the winner of each match based on the TAWF point system.
Teams have 3 substitutions and 3 timeouts. Pullers can move up a class but not down. No limit on matches per puller. There will be a 15-min halftime break between rounds 4 and 5. The game aims to showcase unique arm wrestling techniques and strategies.
