TAWF | When Teams Collide

We are back with another Team Arm Wrestling Federation event. This will be an Open Team Tournament. It will be on September 28th, 2024. Hosted by the Table Monkeys at 5 Brock Ave. Toronto, ON. This will be a single elimination tournament between all the teams that sign up. 

The teams will consist of 3 men’s classes; 175lbs, 215lbs, and +216lbs on Both Arms, and the limit per team is 5 pullers total. The buy-in per team is $450 with an Early Bird special of $350 for those that pay the entry fee before September 14th, 2024. The top 3 teams will win prize money, and there will be a special prize for MVP (Most Valuable Puller) for the individual that scores the most points.

There will be 4 rounds per game with 8 matches per round, making a total of 32 matches per game. All 32 matches will be selected at random at the beginning of the game with two restrictions. 

#1. No more than 3 of the same match can be picked in succession. So for example Lightweight Right Hand could have 3 matches in a row during a round.

#2. No more than 6 matches total for any weight class and arm. So for example Lightweight Right Hand can not have more than 6 matches out of the 32 matches for that game.

There is an amendment to the point system. The base points will vary for each weight class. Lightweight = 4 points, Middleweight = 5 points, & Heavyweights = 6 points. The fouls count for 1 point +/- depending on who commits the foul. Only the winner of the match gets points. Fouls committed by the winner will subtract 1 point per foul, and fouls committed by the loser will add 1 point per foul.
